It is the process of backing up notes to your device. When your device has SD card and your android OS is lower than 5.0, your notes will be backed up to the SD card. If your device doesn’t have SD card or if your android OS is 5.0 (or higher version), your notes will be backed up to the internal storage of your device.
However, if you had not allowed ColorNote to access your photos, media, and files on your device after installing ColorNote, your notes would not have been backed up to your device.
- Auto backup
Notes will be automatically backed up to your device, unless you turned off ‘Auto backup’. If you want to protect your notes from others, you can choose ‘Secured auto backup’ so that notes are programmed to be backed up with the master password. The master password will be needed when restoring notes.
- Manual backup
You can manually back up notes as well. Manual backup requires the master password.
[Menu -> Back up -> Create or enter the master password] or [Settings ->Backup -> Tap ‘Backup Notes’ – > Create or enter the master password]
