If your device has SD card and your android OS is lower than 5.0, your notes will be backed up to the SD card. If your device doesn’t have SD card or if your android OS is 5.0 (or higher version), your notes will be backed up to the internal storage of your device.
The backup location for internal storage is ‘/main storage/data/colornote/backup’. If you use file manager app on your mobile device, the ColorNote backup file will appear in ‘/main storage/data/colornote/backup’. However, if you try to see ColorNote backup file on the pc by connecting the mobile to your PC, backup file will appear in ‘/data/colornote/backup’
Note that file manager apps are not allowed to access the /data/ folder on your android device, if your android OS is 11(or higher version).
* ColorNote backup files have a file extension name ending in .backup or .doc. You cannot open them in Microsoft Word program because they are different from doc file generated by Microsoft Word program.
